Occupy Oakland: Don’t Poke the tiger!
Dear Occupy Wall Street/Occupy Oakland Folks: I think you guys lost sight of who and what you should be occupying. What does Frank Ogawa Plaza and city intersections in Oakland have to do with WALL STREET?! Nothing! Yes u were in front of Oakland city hall but city hall is LOCAL government, WALL STREET has more ties to FEDERAL government than local.
Yes your trying to prove a point and you want people held accountable for wasting money on the bail out plans that occurred. Your mad that not a single corporate person or Wall Street executive has been indicted either…. But why not go occupy a federal bank or a wall street executives house?
No, you want to Occupy Oakland?! *Shakes Head…. And u wonder why tear gas and rubber bullets are flying at you…. It’s called unlawful assembly AND nothing about what you guys are doing is PEACEFUL. Blocking city streets, inciting riots etc is not peaceful protest…. Sorry but it isn’t, and for every action there is a reaction.
Let me tell you something about Oakland, shootings and murder happen almost daily. OPD deals with this stuff daily and they just dealt with the Oscar Grant/Mehserle fiasco recently with all the riots, protests and destruction to city property. So if you think OPD isn’t well versed in handling protests, ur sadly mistaken.
Also Police aren’t going to just start lobbing tear gas at folks or shooting rubber bullets into a crowd. Dispersal orders to vacate have to be given REPEATEDLY to the crowd and warnings are given of what might occur if the crowd doesn’t disperse……
If u guys think OPD is bad, go down south and Occupy LosAngeles! I got money that says LAPD won’t play with you guys for a second…..
Better yet go Occupy the WHITE HOUSE! But I think u guys know what will occur if u protest the white house. Military will come out and they operate differently than local police…. Speaking of military since u guys hate OPD and local cops for doing their jobs, let’s remove the local police departments, let anarchy occur and watch Military move in and declare Martial Law….

“LIVE Sessions Pt 2” 45min House Mix!
I’m posting this as I ride BART towards SFO Airport on my way out for a much needed weekend vacay to Vegas to hang out with close friend and fellow DJ, Luke Williams (DJ Skywalker) who lives in Vegas. Luke is SSL Forum family who I met in LA, and we’ve been fam since day one. Been talkn about this Vegas trip forever and I mean FOREVER, glad its finally happening!
This mix is another addition to my houseessentialsmixshow.com site that I recently became a crew member to. Love the support I get from Artie & crew and I had a chance to hang out with some of them during my SoCal trip last weekend. Yea a SoCal trip last weekend, Vegas this weekend, and a full Halloween weekend of DJ gigs next weekend. Feeling blessed and God is Good!
The mix is a blend of soulful house, funky house etc. Lately I’ve been going through my house music crates in Serato and “blindly” putting mixes together. I remind you that “Blind” is not knowing the track itself well or knowing where the breaks are in a track which DJ’s use to blend in/out of one track to another. For me this is refreshing because lately its been all Top40 Club gigs so going back into a genre that I love and relearning tracks is lovely. Reminds me of my Fam DJ Audio1’s thoughts on taking a break from Top40 gigs & getting back into the underground scene doing house, dubstep and Drum-n-bass gigs again. Shout out to Audio1 (Alex), love ya homie!
When the scene’s over saturated with the same old same old thang, being revived is a beautiful thing… A lot of ppl enticing me to look into production (Bandoma, Panic City, Audio1 etc) from actual production to simple DJ edits. So with that said this weekend will be filled with partying & drinking but I think DJ Skywalker and I will jump into the studio and work on some things, maybe start up something…… Which means its time to learn Ableton, sigh!
